I would really like to own my own business and in the town where i live there is only 1 nail shop in the downtown area and there are about 4 nearby high schools. I think this would we a great opportunity for a business like this. Any advice would be appreciated.
Does anyone know how i can start my own nail salon business.?
Hi. Sounds like a good market oppertunity. Find out what rent and utilities are for commerical space. Then factor in a "salary" for you or the nail tech. Then set aside cash for furniture and supplies, permits and fees for professionals like lawyers, insurance, and accoutnant. Multiply the monthly costs by 12. Expect to spend a year or more before you have enough business to break even and begin to make money so if you don't have that $ ammt. in savings you may want to look into small business loans. To start out you may want to rent booths so you can build traffic and spread the risk and investment around instead of you paying EVERYTHING while the word gets out. Take an ad out in the HighSchool Newspapers (just call them) and offer a small discout if they show their school ID. That'll get you the school business. Thats the stuff right off the top of my head.
