PLEASE HELP I need help on my gcse business coursework please help me?

Mia has been walking her dog in the local park for the last few years. On many occasions she would have liked to stop and have a drink in the summer.Unfortunately she has been unable to do this as there are no catering facilities available.Mia thinks she has found a gap in the market and believes there would be a demand for a cafe'e.The children and thier families enjoy visting the playground. The more energetics people come to use the fitness trail and for jogging. The wooded area is popular with other dogwalkers. There is also a boating lake where people can hire rowing boats in the summermonths.Mia believes that setting up a cafe'e in the park would be a good business opportunity. She has approached the local council and they have given her permisson to set up her cafe'e.She has decided tobase her business in a small hut/kiosk and have tables and chairsoutsidefor hercustomers to sit at.USING EXAMPLES FROM THE CAFE IN THE PARK CASE STUDY WHAT IS MEANT BYSTRATUP-COSTS OPERATINGCOST, REVENU

PLEASE HELP I need help on my gcse business coursework please help me?
Sart up costs are all the costs you need to pay before you start your business. In this example it would include maybe the deposit for the hut, the trading license fee, any deposits or connection charges for gas, phone, electricity...gettit? You will have to review the whole study to find these, becasue I cannot see mention of them here.

Operating costs are the costs associated with running the business. It would be say the monthly rent, the monthly electricity and gas and phone bills, the costs of staff etc. It is the costs ro run the place. But it does not include the products she is going to sell.eg coffee, juice etc.

Revenue is all the money she gets in.

I hope this has been helpful. If not you can email me the whole case study and I can do it for you :)

Okay

If Mia wants to save money on her gas, electricity, telephone , broadband and mobile phone, and indeed if she wants an 0800 freephone number ask her to email me asikhatali@telecomplus.org.uk.

On the other hand if Mia wants a more lucrative business ask her to visit www.telecomplus.org.uk/ asikhatali (copy this to your browser and remove the space after the /.

Read the page then click on the "business opportunity" box. Then on the right she will see an orange-sh box with the words "whats it all about?" Watch that DVD. Then go sign up (see the top left of the Business Opportunity page).

Remember to sign up under me (check the number 189870 is on the browser page) if you want me to mentor you from ground zero until you are earning at least £500 per month. Together we can do this in 6-12 months!
Reply:Operating costs are the recurring expenses which are related to the operation of a business, or to the operation of a device, component, piece of equipment or facility.

Revenue is a business term for the amount of money that a company receives from its activities in a given period, mostly from sales of products and/or services to customers. It is not to be confused with the terms "profits" or "net income" which generally mean total revenue minus total expenses in a given period
