Why are all on line business opportunities so second rate?

I would like to know why are all online internet businesses a load of BS. They all promise to make you money, and yet they do not. There is always a fail safe way that the creators and builders of these so called "get rich quick schemes" and various oppertunieties work or do not work. I would just like to know how can i find out what is real and what is not real. And how can I go about finding out what is a real money making oppertunity on the web?

Why are all on line business opportunities so second rate?
Not all of them are bogus, but most are.

Get rich quick schemes have been around since the 19th century and before.

A real money making opportunity on the web, is one where they pay you in advance.
Reply:Get Rich Quick companies lure you in by getting you to think that you don't have to make any investment of time or money to become wealthy. If you really take the time to think about it...you know that isn't true, but you keep wanting to believe that there is something out there that will make a better life for you and your family. Think of anything that you have accomplished in life, did it require no effort on your part?

If you want to be successful you have to find something that you can be passionate about. What are your strenghts and weaknesses? What are you willing or able to use to contribute to your own success? You will have to invest both time and money. I have spent 20 years trying to find something that works for me...my biggest investment was my heart which was broken over and over again each time I realized that I had fallen for yet another business that didn't work for me. Not necessarily that they were scams, they just didn't work for me.

Just Google any business you are thinking about and check the BBB website for complaints. You do have to remember though that some people are bitter about their experience with a company so you have to weigh the good against the bad. Just because a particular business worked or didn't work for somebody does not mean your expierence will be the same. Ask lots of questions and don't invest time or money until you are happy with the answers you receive.

If you have questions about a particular company. I'll be happy to tell you privately if I have any experience with them. You can e-mail me. I have included a link for the business that works for me.

Good Luck in your search. I hope you find something that will work for you.
Reply:The ones who know how to make "quick money" will do there best to keep it to themselves. All the rest are the ones who end up trying to lure you and me.

The way to earn money is never going to change... simply offer a valuable service to someone who needs that service.

Try going local. check with local businesses. Offer services and keep accounting and payroll records for them on your home computer. Write promotional materials. Learn how to design websites for them.

And there is a free resource on how to handle your own business: "Go It Alone"... find the book at...

Reply:promises of riches? no such thing! ever.

do your research and discover a service or product that interests you, with marketable potential. go for it.
Reply:I think the ones with the best search engine results are the scams. There are some legitimate businesses out there, but you have generate the money yourself. You have to get out there (so to speak) and do the business if you want to earn money.

People get away with these scam sites because they get such a large volume of people looking at them and joining. After all, you are not likely to go to court with someone for $15.00, so they are able to scam the next guy.

One of the other posters recommended the BBB, I'd like to second that and add Rip Off Report to the list. Unlike the BBB, companies are able to contact the reporters and try to resolve the issue, with Rip Off Report as a third party.

Good luck!
Reply:If it sounds to good to be true, then it is. There is no such thing as "get rich quick" . It takes time, and effort to run a business and make money, especially big money.

I agree with you that so many online businesses are junk. It is the person(s) running the business - not the concept. Do yourself a favor --research--research--research. Identify what your good at, and then figure out a way to make $$.

Hope that makes sense to you.....
