You play the sax, you cook, and now you want to be a gardener? Cool! Let me tell you about a gardening career. I was a military intelligence officer in the United States Army with the rank of Major. I was elected to two terms of public office in Illinois. I worked for the C.I.A., served on two Presidential Inaugural Committees. I earned my Masters in science... twice. I was a consultant for both NBC %26amp; CBS News. I am an author listed in the Library of Congress. After 9-11, the President asked me to help establish the office of Homeland Security. I have had a wonderful and rewarding life. Yet I felt empty inside. Then one morning, I jumped into my little two seat German sports car , put the top down %26amp; drove to my local Chevy dealer %26amp; traided it in for a Blazer. I found my true calling in life. The one thing I am most proud of in my life is my current job. I am a self employed Gardener %26amp; I love it!When I finish at a client's home, the place looks great! I am sorry I wasted all those years with clean finger nails %26amp; a tie around my neck. I'd rather be chase'n gophers out of Mrs. Smith's garden, then be having lunch at the White House. Learn all you can about plants and plant care, be honest, work hard, take good care of seniors and you will have more happy clients then you can handle. Hire, smart reliable people, train them well %26amp; pay them what they are worth. Be different. Stand out. Don't just be another, mow, blow and go. That's where most so called "gardeners" fail. Just because some dude has a pickup truck and a lawn mower doesn't make him a gardener. Go that extra mile for your client and they will remember you for it. You can always play the sax at night, and bar-b-que on the weekend. Go for it!
Reply:This sounds like a "pyramid" business!! If you could get enough people interested in it, you might make money, but I have not heard of too many pyramids that worked!!
Reply:I love plants.. Sounds like a good idea...But I say go to the library and on the Internet instead of making this guy money($297.00 u.s.)All regions are different. His climate may be totally opposite from yours. I think you can do this on your own. With a lot of research. Go to your nursery and see what the top plants are that sell. Good Luck!
Reply:Be careful. Growing plants can be very profitable, but I'm not sure about his methods. I had a nursery, and when I closed it, I took lots of very nice ones to the auction, and got almost nothing for them. I lot of effort would be involved, watering, weeding, fertilizing, then trying to find a good way to sell them. Look into it thoroughly before committing.

Just try to take into consideration that Holland (the Netherlands) is the World leader in gardening, having a huge export income form this activity. You just have to know what your local market demands are, what are the prices, how can you sell and how much.. and pls remember also that every start is hard at the beginning.
