Is the Stream Energy (Ignite) business opportunity in Texas a pyramid scam?

Stream Energy is a multi-level marketing opportunity for the Texas consumer to choose which electric provider they buy their electricity from. Senate Bill 7 passed in Texas in 1999 and deregulated the electricity industry in Texas and created a new multi-billion dollar market. Stream Energy is the #1 competitor for TXU. Stream purchases electricity straight from "The Grid" not thru any other retail electric provider. You purchase electricity, not something for nothing. A pyramid is illegal - multi-level marketing is not. A pyramid offers you nothing for your money. With Stream you build a customer base by allowing customers to choose the less expensive electricity provider. You are then paid for your services. It is a legitimate business opportunity.

Is the Stream Energy (Ignite) business opportunity in Texas a pyramid scam?
Sounds like a true Ignite rep. The best way to determine if it is a scam is to see what the focus is on selling. Here, the focus is on selling sales rep positions, and not energy. And thus: scam. Report Abuse
