(...just to say to Snetterton:- this guy isn't claiming to be an entrepreneur with contacts, just someone who has savings and wants to start a business i.e., become an entrepreneur...?)
Firstly, don't give up the day-job yet....Here is an idea: identify a niche product -as simple a product as possible preferably - that sells at a high premium. Ideally this would be something you have experience of directly through some aspect of your work or perhaps a serious hobby. Do a mini business plan to gather as much info as you can. Assuming the product is 'public domain' (no patents to infringe) get a small batch made up, say 1000 -5000 items overseas (you'll need a bit of storage space). Set up a simple website with worldpay, paypal facilities. Start selling on Ebay to check out what price you can aim for. Advertise the product in weekend newspapers, trade mags etc. Send samples to mail-order catalogues. So start small, build up your distribution network gradually, very slowly. Once you have recovered your costs you can invest in the next product (which you will have been researching). Feel free to email me for more info.
Looking for a new business opportunity. have the finance open to ideas . genuine?
I have, but I'm hardly going to share my unique idea on here.
Reply:Personally, I find that an internet business is an easy way to create a passive income because:
1. Requires small to zero capital
2. Gets started right away and easily
3. Allows you to work from home or anywhere in the world as long as there is an internet connection
4. Has unlimited potential to earn money
5. No age or education requirements
6. Doesn't need you to have to have a company
What you need to do is to learn about the internet business as much as possible to discover whether it is for you and what your strategy is. There is free information around.
Good luck.

Reply:Depends on how much you want to invest, what location you are in, and what type of business venture you are looking for. Have a few business plans for restaurants, and catering business in the Denver, Colorado metro area. Also have an idea for a website with Food, Wine and other culinary advice, restaurant ratings and reviews and such.
